Discover Our Raw & Pure Honey from 7 Unique Manchester Locations

Our honey is sourced from seven different locations across Manchester, each offering its own distinct texture and flavor, shaped by the local flora that our bees visit. We pride ourselves on keeping things natural – our bees are never fed sugar syrup, and we avoid all chemical treatments to ensure our honey remains pure and untouched. Explore the details of each location below to find your perfect jar of honey.

Sale - M33

These bees are kept at Sale Animal Sanctuary, a wildlife haven.   The taste is influenced by the delicate nectar of early spring Willow and lime trees and the later blossoms of wildflowers that gracefully blanket the Mersey's banks.  This is the people's favourite honey during tasting events, described as ‘exactly what you think honey should be’  It is a light orange colour, mid consistency with pleasant citrus and floral aftertaste.  In 2023, this honey won 2 stars in the Great Taste Award.

Urmston - M41

This Urmston honey is the judges' favourite and was voted the top jarred honey in the country in 2022. They described it as delicately beautiful honey with many nuances of aroma and flavour, not only floral but also fruity—you can taste the allotment. It has sweet acidity, buttery light caramel notes, and a gentle lemon finish. It is the most fruity-tasting honey and is kept in an old woodland with apples, cherries, plums, and pear trees. It is also surrounded by blackberries and traditional allotment plants that benefit from their pollination services.

Stretford - M32

Usually, this is the best-performing spring honey as it is based on meadowland along the banks of the River Mersey. It benefits from dandelions, white clover, and the lime trees that surround the fields. It is very similar in taste to our M33 honey.

Altrincham - WA14

This beautiful Altrincham Apiary is kept on Carrington Moss, which is a peat wetland.  These are stunning areas restricted to the public where nature can freely develop.  The honey is from wildflowers and even has heather in it, making it slightly thicker and with a more robust flavour.  The perfect honey for ‘honey and lemon’ to treat colds with the medicinal properties of the local plants.

Timperley - WA15

These hives are situated at the back of Chris Walker plants which is a garden centre with a huge variety of flora.  These bees forage on the local blackberries and native plants but also benefit from a much bigger variety plants than in the Garden centre.  This honey will taste vastly different every year but is a great way to get the benefits of local plants and the medicinal benefits of further afield plants in perfect condition.

Trafford Park - M17

We were as surprised as you that this area produced so much honey of such a great flavour. Despite many warehouses and shops, each is surrounded by untended wild areas that have been proven to be the most productive nectar producers for bees. This honey is your classic wildflower multi-floral blend with a lovely floral aftertaste.
